UAS: Antenna Tracking Station
Ground control station capable of rotating about the yaw and pitch axes autonomously to keep multiple antennas pointed at an aircraft during flight. Designed for use at various unmanned aircraft competitions, the primary objective was to reduce size, weight, and setup time.
Employed hand sketching and CAD as means of communicating design solutions to other team members
Performed multiple rounds of preliminary testing for material selection and station dimensioning resulting in a 30% reduction in length and a more than 300% reduction in overall height
Fabricated parts using waterjet cutters, 3D printers, and sheet metal tools
